Cabrits Bathtub by Victoria + Albert:

Those familiar with the island nation of Dominica might discern a correspondence between its topography and this double-dip tub, which happens to take its name from a scuba-diving resort on the island. Fabricated out of a matrix of resin and finely-ground volcanic limestone, its glossy, attenuated walls are hand-finished.

The Cabrits is strikingly exotic freestanding bath embodies the beauty of its namesake the exclusive Cabrits peninsula on the Caribbean island of Dominica. Luscious and tropical the peninsula is a natural product of extinct volcanoes, akin to the Cabrits bath which is crafted from ENGLISHCAST, rich volcanic limestone.

The Cabrits is the most “Green” two person water-efficient model offered by Victoria + Albert boasting a water volume of 45.5 gallons. The ecologically sound Cabrits free standing bath uses less water and heat yet still provides the bather with a warm, luxurious soak due to the natural insulation of its ENGLISHCAST construction. This is an old idea that is new again.  Victoria + Albert tubs have always taken paint very nicely on the outer walls of the volcanic bath.  The new twist is using an automotive shop to apply UV finishes available to any automobile.
